This year students worked at improving their math and science skills. They conducted a group science project to learn the Scientific Method, and they reviewed basic geometric principles. The students also learned how measurements apply to everyday life and engaged in a hands-on-activity, cooking, to apply what they had learned about measurements.

Field trips included a "College for A Day" trip to visit The Art Institute of Houston; a visit to Fiesta Grocery Store, and a visit to First Bank. At First Bank, they were given "hands-on-awareness" of the many banking career opportunities, and they learned the importance of math in today's society.
